Supersonic & Crackerjack Fix

THANK YOU: We are excited to announce that Cadence Homes has funded this project. We're super grateful for the donation and support from Cadence and look forward to completing these new lines for both those trails!
PROJECT BACKGROUND
If you have ridden Eagle Mountain any time lately, you will have seen the new construction underway in the valley between Rockabilly and the bottom of Supersonic and Crackerjack. Unfortunately this new development includes a road that has disrupted the lower end of both Supersonic and Crackerjack trails. The image to the right shows the affected area.

This project is to work with the developer to identify a new line for these two trails and then move them to accommodate the change to the area.

PROJECT SCOPE
This project includes the following:
  1. Identify new finishing lines for Cracker Jack and Supersonic
  2. Flag and build the new lines for each trail
  3. Add new signage to these trails
PROJECT PROPOSAL
This is the general idea that is being proposed for these lines based on information from the developer and consulting with a professional trail builder.

On the image to the side here, we show what has been done.
CRACKERJACK
  1. Crackerjack from the gas ignition station heads to the north towards the old, lower route
  2. The old, lower route is closed off and you will head to the left up a portion of the old supersonic section.
  3. Old part of supersonic trail where it turned back north is closed off. You will continue up to the new section of supersonic/crackerjack
  4. You merge with supersonic for about 150 yards, until the trail forks.
  5. You take the right (in purple) fork to complete crackerjack. This is the end section of crackerjack.

SUPERSONIC
This is the green trail in the picture.
  • You will head down as you would have before, except you will turn back north at #4, which is earlier/higher than before.
  • Once you turn back, you stay to the left and it wraps down and round the hill, through the clump of trees on the north side and connects to the lower side of Given to Fly. There are exits to the north and south.

NOTES
  • This project is being done 100% through the Lake Mountain Trails Association in conjunction with the developer, Cadence Homes.
  • Blazing Trailz was the professional trail builder we used to help design and to do the machine dig of the trail.
  • Volunteer labor is being used to do all hand/finish work (please help us). Trailwork dates and times will be posted on our calendar page.
Lake Mountain Trails Association is an independently operated, Utah incorporated 501-C3 headquartered in Eagle Mountain, UT.
